Do you provide a free phone consultation?
Yes. Before our first session, we will schedule a free 15 minute phone call. During this time, we will discuss your needs, we will answer questions you have, and you will have the option to schedule an initial session. During our free consultation and initial session, we will collaborate together and determine if we make a good fit. If for some reason we are not a good fit, we will provide you with referral options that may better fit your needs.
How long is each session?
Typically, our time together will range from 45-55 minutes.
What should I expect from the first session?
Our first session will be a lot of information gathering. Your therapist will ask you several specific questions, and let you share/ open up at your own pace. This, in addition to the consultation call, is our time to determine if our therapeutic relationship is a good fit
How often will I have an appointment with you?
In the beginning, we will aim for weekly visits, and then depending on treatment progress, we will start decreasing frequency based on your needs.
Do you take insurance?
Life in Bloom accepts Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance, Aetna, as well as self pay. We are considered an “out of network provider” through other insurance companies. If you do not have Aetna or BCBS insurance, we can provide you with a form to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. This varies depending on insurance, so we encourage you to call your insurance provider and ask about their out of network benefits.
Do you offer in person sessions?
Yes! We are available for in person appointments as well as virtual appointments. Virtual appointments give you the flexibility to make your mental and emotional health a priority without sacrificing time from work/school/home or worrying about travel time, parking, or traffic.
Is this confidential?
We are bound by confidentiality and use a HIPAA compliant platform for our audio/visual appointments. There are situations where we may need to break confidentiality when there is a concern about safety (yours or the safety of others). We will discuss this further at your initial visit.
Can you work with my existing treatment team?
We work closely with other therapists, medical providers, dietitians, and recovery coaches. We are happy to collaborate with your existing treatment team or help you find medical and nutrition resources to meet your needs.
